About CyanoCIN
CyanoCIN is a curated database of cyanobacterial RiPPs (ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides), integrating genome mining predictions with literature-curated and externally imported data to provide a comprehensive, searchable resource for RiPP discovery and analysis.
Release History
Version 1.0 — Released : November 2025
Initial public release. Built from a static, manually curated dataset (literature curation, genome mining, and external database imports frozen as of 20 November 2025).
Version 2.0 — Expected release: January 2027
Planned update introducing an automated curation–validation–update pipeline to continuously incorporate newly reported peptides, replacing the static v1 dataset with a living, periodically refreshed resource.
